Nurturing Vegetation in Mumbai: Greening in Vulnerable Neighborhoods

The proceedings summarize the reflections of stakeholders from a 2-day workshop hosted in December 2022 by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), organized by WRI India in partnership with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action (YUVA).

The workshop saw subject matter experts, community groups, urban practitioners and solution providers engage to collaboratively discuss best practices for greening in Mumbai's vulnerable neighborhoods, through community-driven approaches for climate adaptation.

This was organized as part of WRI India's ongoing efforts to pilot nature-based solutions through participatory processes.
