Accelerating the Production and Use of Green Hydrogen

This report focuses on three key aspects that G20 nations should prioritize to establish and accelerate the adoption of green hydrogen. The primary focus areas identified in this report include:

• International supply chains for green hydrogen including production, transport and storage, and end-use applications.
• Establishing consensus on a standardized framework for classification of hydrogen from various production pathways.
• Promoting collaborative research, development, and innovation through on-going multilateral collaboration platforms to drive technological advancements.

This report also provides recommendations on the role of intergovernmental cooperation and fostering strategic cooperation among G20 nations across the identified focus areas and achieve scale, standardization, and collaborative innovation to advance green hydrogen technology deployment.
