Senior Communications Manager

Bio

Shivani Shah is a Senior Program Communications Manager with the Energy Program, where she provides strategic communications support to the team. She also handles the editorial and review process for opinion pieces and blogs apart from managing overall program outreach.

Before joining WRI India, Shivani worked with Climate Trends leading strategic communications on energy and climate finance. She also worked with organizations like Greenpeace India where she campaigned for sustainable agriculture. She was a Research Associate, leading communications for the Coastal and Marine Programme at Ashoka Trust for Ecology and Environment. At Sanctuary Asia worked on the editorial for both their magazines – Sanctuary Asia and Sanctuary Cub in addition to running their websites and providing communications support for Sanctuary’s KidsForTigers Programme.

Shivani has completed a Post Graduate Program in Public Policy from Takshashila Institution and holds a bachelor's degree in economics and Sociology from St. Xavier’s in Mumbai.

When not at her desk, Shivani can be found reading, listening to a podcast or watching a movie!
