WRI India, in partnership with Friends of Champions (FoC) 12.3 India, a network of organizations working on reducing FLFW, convened a multi-stakeholder dialogues on 5-6 August, 2025 in New Delhi to advance action on reducing food loss and food waste (FLFW) in India.

The convening brought together over 150 key stakeholders from across national, state, and city governments, food businesses, hotels and restaurant industry, food recovery agencies, financial institutions, farmer producer organizations (FPOs), academia, innovators, and civil society to discuss solutions for the growing challenges of FLFW in India. The discussions across two days focused on enabling frameworks, technology adoption and innovation, financial models, sustainability strategies, highlighting local and city-level interventions, kitchen innovations by chefs, and strategies to nudge consumer behavior change.
