We invite you to join us for Uddheshya – a one-day conference being organized by WRI India to highlight the importance of inclusive and accessible transport systems. Uddheshya is being held under the aegis of the Forum for Decarbonising Transport, a NITI Aayog-led platform, for enabling more ambitious and inclusive transport decarbonisation action.

Uddheshya will bring together gender experts, transport agencies, research organisations, civil society groups and other stakeholders to deliberate on policy frameworks for gender-inclusive mobility and implementation pathways for achieving equitable access to mobility and opportunity for all.

Empowerment of women is a central theme of India’s G20 Presidency, with the aim of reducing the gender gap in workforce participation by 25% by 2025 and bringing more than 100 million women into the labor force.
