Shiva Prasad Jakkani is a Junior Program Associate in the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. His work focuses on decarbonization pathways, with an emphasis on sustainable fuels and emerging energy technologies. His role involves research, data-driven analysis, and policy insights to support India’s energy transition.

Prior to joining WRI India, he worked as a Project Engineer at Biosephia Engineering Services Private Limited, a startup focused on decentralised biogas solutions. His role involved project execution, optimisation, and data-driven decision-making. He also interned at WRI India, where he worked on sustainable aviation fuels, exploring their technological, economic, and policy dimensions.

He holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Technology from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), where he assessed the macroeconomic impacts of India’s emerging green hydrogen industry using input–output modelling. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT), building a strong foundation in process engineering and energy systems.

Beyond work, he enjoys watching movies, cooking, and spending time with friends.
