Nabajyoti Roy is a Program Manager - Restoration Planning and Implementation within the Food, Land and Water program at WRI India. He is currently based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, where he leads engagement and policy-level discussions with various stakeholders in Chhattisgarh regarding WRI-led programs on forest and landscape restoration.

Nabajyoti has over eight years of extensive experience in the sector of rural livelihoods, agriculture, community institutions, and NRM-based interventions. Before joining WRI India, he worked with PRADAN in different capacities across various districts of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. During his tenure at PRADAN, he was responsible for planning and implementing various government and CSR projects with a focus on rural livelihoods, natural resources management, and sustainable agriculture.

Nabajyoti holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, and a master’s degree in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

Outside of work, Nabajyoti enjoys travelling, cooking, and playing guitar.
