Muskaan Kapoor is a Program Associate in the Climate, Economics, and Finance Program at WRI India. Her focus is corporate climate action and industrial decarbonization. She works with Indian businesses and their supply chain to set and achieve emission reduction targets aligned with science and create capacity and awareness around internationally accepted standards and guidance. She also supports work around decarbonizing the building and construction sector, adopting a value chain approach.

Before joining WRI India, Muskaan gained over three years of experience in sustainability and decarbonization working on diverse projects, including the design and research of disaster-resilient structures, green building certifications, and energy efficiency initiatives, working closely with BEE and ASSOCHAM during her tenures at Development Alternatives and Design2Occupancy Services LLP.

Most recently, Muskaan was part of CDP India, where she played a crucial role in the SBTi Incubator program. There, she assisted Indian corporates with target modelling and validation processes and provided technical support for CDP’s thematic questionnaires on environmental reporting.

Muskaan holds a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI), Agra, where she was awarded the 'Young System Scientist Award' in 2019. She also holds green building credentials such as WELL AP, LEED Green Associate, and GEM CP.

Outside of work, Muskaan enjoys baking, cooking, and exploring books on topics ranging from self-help and fiction to Hindu mythology and human evolution.
