About The India Just Transition Summit
The India Just Transition Summit, hosted by WRI India and Just Transition Research Centre of IIT Kanpur, will serve as a research symposium and conference bringing together thought-leaders, policymakers, researchers, civil society, and community representatives to explore diverse perspectives and inclusive strategies towards a people-centered, inclusive, and equitable low-carbon transition in India.
Overview of India Just Transition Summit
Day 1: The Research Symposium – researchers, scholars and experts from across the country will showcase latest research (selected from an overwhelmingly large number of applications) and thinking on the various facets of just transition issues and solutions in India, in the presence of policymakers, academics and practitioners.

Day 2: The Conference – will bring the research from day 1 together with insights from community representatives, MSMEs, practitioners, entrepreneurs, sector experts, funders and policymakers, as we deep dive into just transition issues across sectors such as MSMEs, agrivoltaics, EVs, e-waste, energy, etc, navigate strategies for just transition, and ideate on financing just transition initiatives in India.
