Research

The foundation of WRI India's work is producing high-quality research. Our publications inform our work across India and are designed to meet our “Standards of Excellence” by being credible, audience-aligned and actionable.

Indian cities face a deepening urban mobility crisis driven by rapid urbanisation, organic and unplanned growth, and road networks whose structural configuration remains poorly understood and measured. Major cities such as Bengaluru, Kolkata, Pune, and Hyderabad consistently rank among the world's most congested, yet geospatial assessment of their road networks remains underexplored in academic literature.

Standards and Processes

WRI India's research publications are peer reviewed and held to our “Standards of Excellence.” We strive to ensure that all our research publications are timely, targeted and rooted in a strategic plan for achieving positive change in our country.
