Bihar EV Conclave

As states intensify their efforts to facilitate a transition to electric mobility, Bihar has implemented various measures for clean fuels and electric vehicles. The Transport Department of Bihar notified its state EV Policy in December 2023 to develop Bihar’s electric vehicle ecosystem. The policy includes tax subsidies, purchase incentives, approved tariff rates for charging stations, and a target of achieving a 15% EV share in new vehicle sales by 2028. Fostering critical dialogues and knowledge exchange among stakeholders to deliberate on the implementation of the EV Policy and the way forward for Bihar is crucial.

WRI India, in collaboration with the Transport Department of Bihar and the Bihar State Pollution Control Board, is organizing the Bihar EV Conclave. This state-level gathering aims to convene key stakeholders to chart the roadmap for Bihar’s unique transport electrification journey. Key discussions will revolve around strategies, innovations, policies, and regulatory frameworks that will drive EV adoption in Bihar.
