Bio

Sidhtharthan (Sathya) is a Program Associate - Monitoring with the Food, Land and Water program at WRI India. Sathya has expertise in Remote Sensing and GIS. He supported developing the methodology and the developing spatial layers for Restoration Opportunities Atlas of India. Sathya assists in restoration opportunities mapping for incorporation ROAM assessment in India.

Sathya was earlier associated with French Institute of Pondicherry (IFP) and India Biodiversity Portal (IBP) in identification and documentation of data for restoration. Sathya has also worked on road network analysis and transport modelling using GIS.

Sathya holds Master of Technology in Remote Sensing and GIS from SRM University in Chennai.

Sathya enjoys photography and watching movies.
