As Bengaluru makes critical decisions on sustainable development, the city has an opportunity to move onto the path of improved liveability and sustainability. WRI India has been working with several key stakeholders from government departments, academic institutions, civil society, and independent experts in Bengaluru for nearly a decade, towards improving the quality of life for its citizens and future investment for the city.

Dr. Ekroop Caur, Managing Director (BMTC), Mr. Vijay Kovvali (IBI Group), and Mr. Amit Bhatt (WRI India) consisted of the panel that delivered the second talk of the Unlock Bengaluru series on Sustainable Urban Mobility in Bengaluru: Strategic Interventions to Leverage City Scale Improvements.

The Unlock Bengaluru series aims to assist urban centres like Bengaluru to make informed decisions on land-use and infrastructure, including transport and energy that typically have a 40-100 year 'lock-in' effect. Specifically, focusing on addressing problems resulting from congestion, sprawl, and energy inefficiency.
