India Vision Zero 2017

WRI India Ross Center in association with the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Department, presents India Vision Zero, its second annual road safety conference to deliberate on challenges, opportunities, and solutions towards reducing road traffic fatalities in India. This year, the event will be held on 5-6 June 2017 in Worli, Mumbai.

India Vision Zero is meant to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences for improving road safety, and to promote a shared vision towards zero road accident deaths in the country. Speakers and participants will consist of representatives from across the country, spanning the governments at the centre, states and cities, across transport departments, transport authorities, road authorities, municipal corporations and traffic police. In addition, speakers will also include both national and international road safety experts in the areas of institutional management, road design, data management, enforcement and road safety communication.

The first India Vision Zero conference was held in 2016 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, in partnership with the Bhubaneswar Development Authority. The event was attended by 150+ practitioners from across the country.
