Trinayani Sen
Senior Program Associate - Electric Mobility

Trinayani Sen is a Senior Program Associate – Electric Mobility with the Sustainable Cities and Transport team at WRI India. She primarily contributes to the team’s research on enabling a ‘just and inclusive’ transition to electric vehicles. Additionally, she provides periodic support to initiatives addressing various aspects of e-mobility at the sub-national level.
Prior to joining WRI India, Trinayani was engaged as a Senior Research Associate at CUTS International, a policy think tank, where she was a part of the Energy team. Her experience encompasses diverse projects related to electric mobility, ‘just’ energy transitions, and livelihoods. She is also passionate about creating evidence-based interactive outputs and with CUTS, she led the development of infographic reports, storyboards, digital stories and podcasts.
Trinayani holds a Master’s in Regulatory Policy and Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Trinayani finds joy in cooking fancy-yet-simple food and exploring different corners of India.
