Swati Pathak is the Senior Communications Associate with the Electric Mobility team at WRI India’s Sustainable Cities and Transport program. She oversees communication and outreach efforts, developing content and narratives that support subnational electric mobility initiatives and the just transition to electric vehicles.

Swati brings over six years of experience in campaigning and advocacy for sustainable transportation to WRI India. She began her career at the Pune-based NGO Parisar, where she worked at the intersection of project management, policy analysis, research, community engagement, and content development, with a focus on sustainable mobility in Indian cities. She has also held campaigner and national coordinator roles at Purpose and the Sustainable Urban Mobility Network (SUM Net) India, respectively. She is passionate about crafting content that resonates with both grassroots communities and key decision-makers.

Swati holds a B.A. in Political Science and an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Delhi. In 2016, she was selected as an Urban Fellow at the Indian Institute for Human Settlements, Bengaluru. An amateur Tango and Kathak dancer, Swati channels her ethnographic eye and free time into documenting the streets and architecture of Pune.
