Sri Pujitha Pukkella
Program Associate - Geo Analytics

Sri Pujitha Pukkella works as a Program Associate in the GeoAnalytics team of the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. Based out of Bengaluru, she supports various urban mapping related projects with RS & GIS data collection, cleaning, processing, visualization, geospatial analysis and maps preparation.
Prior to joining WRI India, Pujitha worked as a GIS Consultant for the Asian Nature Conservation Foundation (ANCF), IISc, Bengaluru. She delineated division-wise elephant distribution, movement maps and potential corridor linkages maps for the book titled Elephants of Karnataka: Atlas which is a joint effort by ANCF, Project Elephant and the Karnataka Forest Department. She was also involved in various multidisciplinary projects.
She holds a master’s in Remote Sensing and GIS from the Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (CSSTEAP), Affiliated with United Nations, IIRS Campus, Dehradun, along with a B. Tech in Geoinformatics from Andhra University. Pujitha also holds a Post-Graduation Diploma in Urban Planning and Development from IGNOU. Additionally, she is a ‘C’ certificate holder in the Army division of the National Cadet Corps.
She loves traveling and reading books related to Indian cultural heritage. Pujitha is also a trained classical singer.
