Soham Kshirsagar
Senior Research Associate – CEO’s Office

Soham Kshirsagar is a multi-disciplinary climate researcher, currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at the CEO’s Office at WRI India. In this capacity, he provides strategic support across institutional programs and develops high-level narratives on critical themes in climate and energy policy, aligning thought leadership with the organization’s broader mission.
Prior to joining the Executive Office, Soham was seconded to the G20 Secretariat, where he served as Policy Officer to India’s G20 Sherpa. As part of the Office of G20 Sherpa, he was instrumental in shaping consensus on some of the most contentious energy and climate commitments as part of India’s G20 Presidency and was closely involved in the drafting of the New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration, a landmark outcome of India’s G20 Presidency.
Before his tenure at the G20 Secretariat, Soham was part of WRI India’s Hydrogen team, where he collaborated closely with the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy to design policy instruments and incentive frameworks for the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
He holds an MSc in Climate Change: Environment, Science and Policy from King’s College London, and a BSc (Hons.) in Environmental Management from Bangor University, United Kingdom
