Shyny Sam is a Program Manager with the Energy Program at WRI India. Her primary focus areas are building sector decarbonisation, low-carbon building materials, sustainable cooling, and energy efficiency.

Prior to joining WRI India, Shyny worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on the Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) implementation in the state of Himachal Pradesh. She has also contributed to ECBC implementation in the state of Kerala, serving as a Project Manager leading the Intelligent Building Plan Management System (IBPMS). In her career as an architect, Shyny has played a significant part in the design of diverse architectural projects across hospitality, education, and residential spaces.

Shyny holds an MSc. in International Construction Management and Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK, and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Kerala, India. Her interests include architecture, sustainable living, travel, photography, and bird watching.
