Shyny Sam is a Senior Program Associate with the Energy Program at WRI India. Her primary focus areas are building sector decarbonization, sustainable cooling and energy efficiency.

Prior to joining WRI, Shyny worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on Energy Conservation Building Code implementation in Himachal Pradesh. Further, she has contributed to Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) implementation and as a Project Manager has led the Intelligent Building Plan Management System (IBPMS) in Kerala. She has contributed significantly to the design of diverse architectural projects including hospitality, institutions, and residences.

Shyny holds an MSc. in International Construction Management and Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK, and a bachelor’s in architecture from the University of Kerala, India.

Her interests include architecture, sustainable living, travel, photography, and bird watching.
