Shivam Khaddar is a Senior Program Associate with the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. He works on research and project initiatives related to transport data analytics, including sustainable transportation planning, travel behavior analysis, and applied data research.

Shivam has over five years of experience in the transport planning domain. Prior to joining WRI India, he worked with the City of Vernon, BC, Canada, where he led capital infrastructure projects, reviewed transportation impact assessments, supported the development of the transportation master plan, revised traffic bylaws, analyzed data to advance multi-modal mobility, and responded to public inquiries. He has also worked with WATT Consulting Group, Canada, and was a recipient of the MITACS Accelerate internship.

Shivam holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada, with a research focus on travel behavior modeling. He also holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ottawa, Canada, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Christ University, India.

In his free time, Shivam enjoys traveling and playing cricket.
