Sahil is a Senior Program Associate, Urban Development and Resilience with the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. Here, his work revolves around environment and infrastructural development with a focus on green-blue infrastructure, nature-based solutions towards flood risk management and strategic planning for long term climate resilience. He deals with multi-scalar integrated approach by applying global and local knowledge and facilitating multiple stakeholders.

Prior to joining WRI India, Sahil worked on the Dutch and Bangladesh Delta Plan, along with developing an Integrated River Management strategy for the rivers in the Netherlands. He has also worked on projects with a focus on port development and water sensitive urban design in collaboration with Rotterdam municipality. Further, he was involved in infrastructure projects like long term strategies for the freight corridor between Rotterdam and Duisburg and Multi-Modal Integration projects for Mumbai Metro.

Sahil earned his undergraduate degree in architecture from Academy of Architecture, Mumbai University. He has a master’s in Urbanism from Delft University of Technology with a specialization in Infrastructure and Environmental Design. Sahil is a member of Water Youth Network.
