Rohit Khare is a Senior Program Research Analyst with the Energy Program at WRI India. He provides support with understand the energy landscape in India by Analyzing India's current energy mix, including contributions from coal, natural gas, hydro, nuclear, and renewable sources (wind, solar, bioenergy, etc.). Regulatory support with government policies like the National Solar Mission, Renewable Purchase Obligations (RPOs), and resource adequacy planning mandates from the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) and state regulatory bodies. An MBA in Power Management from UPES Dehradun, coupled with a master’s in engineering specializing in High Voltage & Power Systems from JEC Jabalpur, B.E in Electrical has equipped me with the theoretical and practical acumen to excel in challenging environments.
