Priya Bansal is a Senior Program Associate with the Electric Mobility team in the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. Her role involves conducting research and analysis focused on the impacts of the e-mobility transition on the automotive value chain. Additionally, she has contributed to projects involving the economics of charging infrastructure deployment, conducting financial analysis to explore various implementation models aimed at overcoming associated challenges.

Prior to joining WRI, Priya worked as a research associate in the Economics Division of the Competition Commission of India, where she was responsible for conducting economic analysis of cases relating to regulation of mergers & amalgamations across various sectors. Before this, she gained experience in market research and quantitative/qualitative data analysis while working at Kantar as a Research Manager for the technology consulting division.

Priya holds a Master’s in Economics degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi.

In her free time, Priya enjoys reading and travelling. She is a trained classical dancer and an out-and-out pet lover.
