Pratit Das is a Program Associate at World Resources Institute (WRI) India, currently based in Rourkela, Odisha. He is currently working as the city coordinator for Rourkela under the Nurturing Neighbourhoods program that deals with projects around young children and caregiver-oriented urban development in Indian cities in collaboration with multiple agencies. His work focuses on advancing initiatives at the intersection of planning, policy, and people-centric development.

He brings around five years of professional experience across diverse organisations, where he engaged with projects spanning planning, policy analysis, and real estate strategy, with a strong emphasis on integrated and context-driven solutions. Prior to joining WRI India, he worked with CRISIL Ltd. as a planning consultant to The World Bank in Sri Lanka, and before that he has also worked with Times Group Ltd., where he produced contents for their print and digital media platforms such as The Times of India, The Economic Times and MagicBricks, on real estate market trends and consumer insights across India.

Pratit holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the College of Engineering and Technology (CET), Bhubaneswar, and a master’s degree in Urban Planning from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, where he developed a strong foundation in urban systems, planning frameworks, and sustainable development.

Outside of work, he enjoys watching films, listening to music, playing badminton, cooking, and reading about movies cos he likes exploring cinema beyond just viewing. He is also an avid foodie who likes trying new cuisines and places.
