Pramada is a Senior Program Associate with the Thriving Eco-City Regions initiative at WRI India, where she focuses on integrating nature-based solutions and participatory design in urban and regional planning. Her work currently involves research, design strategy, writing, and stakeholder engagement to foster climate resilience and sustainable development across partner regions.

Before joining WRI India, she worked with landscape and architecture design firms in New York, Bangalore, Mumbai, Tokyo, and Ahmedabad. Her experience spans the design and construction of projects ranging from residential and institutional buildings to masterplans and landscape restoration. She also contributed to research projects at the Urban Risk Lab in Boston, where she explored the role of social entrepreneurship in environmental sustainability.

Pramada holds a B.Arch from Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute of Architecture (KRVIA) and an M.S. in Architecture and Urbanism from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). At MIT, she received the Julian Beinart Award, the Priscilla King Gray Social Innovation Grant, and a Departmental Merit Scholarship for her research on traditional water systems in western India. Her thesis explored a youth-led water ‘corps’ to promote stewardship and nature-based solutions for restoring traditional water systems.

She enjoys painting and hand-sketching heritage structures and often travels to document them. She also enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes.
