Senior Program Associate – Electric Mobility

Mohit Yadav is a Senior Program Associate – Electric Mobility with the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. His works involves research on sustainable transportation solutions, with a focus on the electric bus sector. He works closely with public transport agencies, offering technical expertise and strategic guidance for electric bus deployment and sustainable operations. Leveraging his skills in transport modelling, data analytics, and urban informatics, he contributes to data-driven research and strategic planning.
Prior to joining WRI, Mohit worked at NITI Aayog, focusing on urban sector policies and development solutions. Additionally, he contributed to the City Future Lab at IIT Kharagpur, developing algorithms for intelligent bus dispatch systems. His academic research focused on developing an analytical framework for identifying mobility patterns using location-based Twitter data, reflecting interest for geospatial and big data analytics.
Mohit holds a Master's degree in City Planning from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT). With his strong background, skills, and passion, he is committed to advancing electric mobility in India to promote sustainable urban transportation.
