Junior Program Associate – Climate Economics & Finance
Mayank is a Junior Program Associate with the Climate, Economics and Finance Program at WRI India. He is engaged in the sub-national component for developing the long-term climate resilient and low-carbon emission development strategy for Madhya Pradesh, where his work focuses on supporting subnational climate action through applied modelling, policy analysis, and carbon emissions accounting, alongside active engagement in stakeholder consultations, workshops, and capacity-building initiatives.
His professional journey includes working as an architect, where he gained hands-on experience applying green building frameworks such as LEED, IGBC, and GRIHA to promote sustainability in building design and construction. Previously, he interned with the State Knowledge Management Centre on Climate Change (SKMCCC) within the Environmental Planning and Coordination Organization (EPCO) Bhopal.
He holds a Master of Science by Research (MS) Degree in Disaster Management from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) Bhopal.
He loves to sing, play football and likes to travel.
