Lanvin Concessao
Program Manager - Energy

Lanvin Concessao is a Program Manager with the Energy Program at WRI India. His primary area of work is energy for equitable development, focusing on designing sustainable energy solutions for communities vulnerable to climate change impacts. In addition, Lanvin supports development partners to design, finance, implement, and monitor clean energy projects in various sectors such as health, livelihoods, and education. Lanvin is a member of the WRI’s Staff Assembly and is also a Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Ambassador at WRI.
Before joining WRI India, Lanvin worked at Oorja Solutions, where he was involved in project planning, fundraising, and impact assessment of community-based, clean energy projects for smallholder farmers. He has also worked as a consultant at FAO and UNDP, supporting the deployment of hybrid solar systems in multiple UN country offices in Asia and Africa as part of the UN’s Greening the Blue initiative.
Lanvin holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Manipal University, India, and a master’s, with a specialization in Renewable Energy Systems, from the University of Strathclyde, UK.
Originally from Mangalore, Lanvin now resides in Bangalore and enjoys football, cricket, and running. He is always keen on exploring new places to dine and travel.
