Krittika Basu is the Lead In-House Counsel at WRI India and is part of the Legal team under the Operations function. She oversees legal matters across the organisation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Her responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents, advising internal stakeholders, managing external counsel, protecting the organisation’s brand, and supporting compliance and risk management efforts.

Before joining WRI India, Krittika worked as an In-House Counsel at Mahindra & Mahindra for five years, with a focus on litigation. She has also worked with Thomson Reuters and completed internships with law firms, corporate legal teams, and independent litigators, building broad-based experience across multiple areas of law.

Krittika holds a five-year integrated law degree from Mumbai. She completed her schooling in Bengaluru and Delhi, experiences that helped shape her academic foundation and develop a well-rounded perspective.

Outside of work, Krittika enjoys painting, reading across genres, and exploring new places. She is also actively involved in animal rescue initiatives.
