Krishna Priya Poroori is a Program Associate within the Sustainable Cities and Transport Program at WRI India, where her primary focus revolves around advancing road safety and improving accessibility throughout the city. This role entails continuous collaboration with city authorities and essential stakeholders.
With a background as an Architect and Urban Planner, Krishna Priya brings over four years of diverse professional experience to her role at WRI. Before her tenure at WRI, she was involved in a wide range of projects, spanning from masterplans for public spaces and corridor development initiatives in Sagar Smart City to the design of sustainable mixed-use urban hubs, industrial, commercial, and residential precincts.
Krishna Priya holds a master's degree in Urban Planning and Policy Design from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, as well as a bachelor's degree in Architecture from the School of Architecture and Planning in Chennai. Her research interests encompass a range of topics, including socio-economic transformations in suburbia and land-use policy driven conflicts in India, among others.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Krishna Priya finds joy in volunteering, traveling, and exploring urban dynamics of various cities, with a special fondness for Chennai.
