Kaustubh Gosavi
Program Lead - Electric Mobility

Kaustubh Gosavi is a Program Lead for Electric Mobility at WRI India. He leads the sub-national EV initiative, focusing on policy formulation and implementation, charging infrastructure deployment, fleet electrification, e-bus rollout, and transportation planning. He collaborates with government and industry stakeholders to accelerate sustainable mobility across Indian states and cities.
Before joining WRI India, Kaustubh worked with AECOM USA, WSP USA, and the Institute of Urban Studies, contributing to transportation planning, traffic engineering, and infrastructure policy. He worked with city governments in the U.S. on multimodal planning, congestion mitigation, and large-scale transit projects across Texas and Colorado.
Kaustubh holds a Master’s in City and Regional Planning and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, with a focus on sustainable transportation, transit planning, and urban development.
Outside of work, Kaustubh enjoys hiking and swimming — he is a national-level and sea-swimming athlete. He is also an avid Formula 1 fan, enjoys travelling, and loves being meticulously organized.
