Harshitha Mruthyunjaya is a Project Associate with the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. Here, she works on various road safety projects which include urban design and place making. Her works also involves research focusing on sustainable transportation, writing reports and preparing presentations with city authorities.

Harshitha comes to WRI India with an extensive experience in urban research, data analysis, place making, and urban mobility. Earlier, she assisted Urban Designer Neville Mars, as a data analyst and an urban planner in a research project located on Java Island, Indonesia. Harshitha has also won several competitions, few of which have been taken forward for pilot testing. She has also been a part of projects like Coimbatore Smart City Project and Streets for People, Bengaluru.

Harshitha holds a master’s in Urban Design, from RMIT, Melbourne and a bachelor’s from RV School of Architecture, Bengaluru.

Harshitha lives in Bengaluru and is an avid traveller. She loves playing and watching cricket. As an architect and researcher, she is deeply interested in housing and urbanism, and in technologies associated with them.
