Gauri is a Program Associate in the Climate Program where she works on supporting sub-national climate action through research, evidence-based planning and capacity building, and government engagement. Her work is currently focussed on climate budget tagging for sub-national governments in India and support in building capacities within government to use climate budget tools and models.

She has been working in the fields of climate policy and finance for two years. She started her career as an Economist with the Wildlife Conservation Trust, developing an index to ensure equitable central finances for a basket of ecosystems. Subsequently, she joined Climate Risk Horizons, analysing the role and preparedness of the financial sector in the face of climate change.

She has a master’s degree in Economics from the Mumbai School of Economics and Public Policy, and a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Economics and Statistics from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai.

Based out of Navi Mumbai, Gauri is a fitness enthusiast, enjoys hiking, loves traveling, yoga, and lemon tea.
