Ganesh Shinde is a Program Manager – Geo Analytics with the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India, based in the Bengaluru office. He supports city-level projects related to urban development, climate action plans, and other initiatives through geospatial analysis and data-driven insights.

Before joining WRI India, he built expertise in interdisciplinary research with a strong focus on climate adaptation, agroforestry systems, water resource management, forest ecology, and statistical modeling.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Marathwada University (BAMU), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and a Master of Science in Geo-Informatics from Bharati Vidyapeeth (IEER), Pune.

Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and immersing himself in different cultures, learning new languages, watching movies and web series, listening to music, and spending weekends on short treks or playing badminton.
