Fathima Husain
Senior Program Associate - Urban Development
Fathima serves as a Senior Program Associate (Urban Development) at WRI India, where she oversees the Eco-City Regions research in Tamil Nadu.
Her professional experience spans roles with the UNDP-Government of Nagaland, SEED Madagascar, and Dakshin Foundation, where she developed a specialisation in Monitoring and Evaluation across diverse project domains such as Species and Ecosystem Management, Community Health, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene, as well as Alternative Livelihoods for Conservation.
Fathima holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and International Relations from FLAME University, and a Master's in Conservation Studies from the University of St Andrews, where she was awarded a British Council Women in STEM Scholarship.
Outside of work, she has a passion for photography, birdwatching, and non-fiction, and enjoys outdoor activities like trekking, surfing, and tennis.
