Dheeraj Kumar Gupta is a Program Manager with the Energy program. He is based in Ranchi, Jharkhand and leads engagement with stakeholders in the state to improve reliable, sustainable, affordable energy for all. He is an expert in designing and implementing energy interventions for development.

Dheeraj comes to WRI India with an extensive experience in project planning, project management and designing need-based energy solutions for communities. He has worked as solar project engineer engagement with organization like Aga Khan Development Network and IWMI supporting stakeholders such as the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society, Samagra Shiksha Evam Vikas Sansthan and several organizations for designing and studying different clean energy technology solutions like solar based irrigation systems, mini- and micro-grids, solar cold storage systems, smokeless chulhas and bio-gas plants.

Dheeraj holds an Integrated M.Tech in Energy Engineering from Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi.

He is from Ramgarh, Jharkhand and loves travelling, cooking, and playing cricket.
