Bhanu Khanna
Senior Program Associate - Geo Analytics

Bhanu Khanna is a Senior Program Associate – Geo Analytics with the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. Her works include urban development and climate allied practices with a focus on the use of data science to empower evidence-based planning.
Prior to WRI, Bhanu has collaborated with NIUA in creating guidelines for national-level advisory on the preparation of Urban River Management Plans (URMP). She comes with the experience of delivering various spatial planning projects and policy advocacy works across different geographies in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Vietnam supported by the World Bank, ADB, UNICEF, GIZ and other multilateral aids and donor agencies.
Bhanu holds a master’s in urban and regional planning with a specialization in infrastructure development from the CEPT University, Ahmedabad, and a bachelor’s in architecture from the Punjab Technical University.
Bhanu enjoys travelling and especially long rides on a scooty or a bike. When not working, she can be found potting soil or cooking as she strongly believes in the idea of “sow, reap and eat”.
