Berjis Driver is a Senior Program Associate at WRI India, supporting systems integration research and communications for the Thriving Eco City-Regions project. He also manages the project’s forum, a capacity-building and knowledge-exchange platform for partner members.

He has over five years of experience across private, public, and voluntary sectors. His work includes preparing sub-national and local-level statutory urban guidelines, leading the preparation of a national framework on youth – urban local body engagement for climate action, supporting implementation of the Forest Rights Act in Maharashtra, and developing an innovative story-telling medium for a People’s Biodiversity Register. He also supported the conceptualization of an Inclusive Cities vertical for a national youth entrepreneurship competition at IIT Bombay, developing learning modules that enabled engineering students from across the country to innovate solutions for Persons with Disabilities.

Berjis holds degrees in Architecture and Urban Planning from LTIADS, Navi Mumbai and CEPT University, Ahmedabad respectively. He is an IGBC Accredited Professional, Associate Member of ITPI and Senior Professional - First Aid, certified by the Indian Red Cross Society. Outside of work, he is an active community volunteer, is working on his own book, mentors’ youth taking grass-root climate action as an accelerator tied to UNICEF-Yuwaah for two years now and continues his learning journey towards fulfilling entrepreneurial aspirations.
