Arun Krishnan is the Program Director for Climate Economics & Finance at WRI India. He has over 15 years of experience in deal advisory, climate and project finance, and public-private partnerships in urban infrastructure, transport, and airports. 

Before joining WRI India, he led the India regional program of the Global Innovation Lab in Climate Finance at Climate Policy Initiative, where he developed innovative climate finance instruments. He also led CPI India’s urban and transport work. Previously, he worked in consulting, assisting governments and the private sector in project financing and policy development. He has also been a visiting faculty member at IIM Kashipur and IIM Shillong.

Arun holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. He also holds the GARP SCR certification.

He is committed to advancing climate action and sustainability at scale. He has mentored over 1,000 students and enjoys trekking, traveling, and DIY projects, including building desktop PCs.
