Anshuman Kumar
Program Associate- Electric Mobility

Anshuman Kumar is a Program Associate with the Electric Mobility team under the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. He supports sub-national electric mobility adoption through research, evidence-based planning, capacity building, and government engagement. His current work focuses on developing Electric Vehicle Readiness Plans for state and city governments in India.
Before joining WRI India, Anshuman worked at the Asian Development Research Institute, contributing to research on urban freight electrification and policy development. He also brings prior experience as an architect, having led projects of varying scales in Gurgaon.
He holds a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the School of Planning and Development at Sushant University, Gurgaon, with a specialization in Municipal Solid Waste Management. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Aayojan School of Architecture, Jaipur.
Anshuman enjoys sketching urban landscapes and is a member of the Urban Sketchers Community (Bihar chapter). In his free time, he enjoys going on bike trips and exploring lesser-known destinations.
