Ankita Saxena
Senior Program Associate - Sustainable Cities and Transport

Ankita Saxena is a Senior Program Associate, Communications, Electric Mobility, with the Sustainable Cities and Transport program at WRI India. She works at the intersection of project communication and outreach, research, and content development for segments of electric mobility. She also manages the program’s social media engagement in collaboration with other teams across Integrated Transport and Electric Mobility divisions.
Ankita comes to WRI India with experience in news reporting, travel writing, project communication and policy analysis. Prior to joining WRI, she has gained experience in research and policy analysis at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP). She was earlier engaged as a Senior Correspondent with The Pioneer where she wrote extensively on government policies, education, and healthcare across Indian cities.
Ankita holds two master’s - one in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew of Public Policy (LYKSPP), National University of Singapore (NUS) as a Li-ka Shing Scholar and the other in Mass Communication from the Symbiosis International University (SIU).
A travel buff, in her free time, Ankita travels to remote locations and plans travel itineraries for friends and family.
