Ankit Pandey is a Senior Program Associate in the Energy Program at WRI India, where he conducts research and policy analysis focused on fair and equitable industrial decarbonization. He holds an MS in Ecology & Environment Studies from Nalanda University, where he was a gold medalist, and a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical and Materials Science Engineering from the National Institute of Technology. Ankit plays a key role in advancing sustainable energy transitions, particularly in hard-to-abate sectors, and supports the development of state and national decarbonization strategies.

Before joining WRI India, Ankit worked with several climate and sustainability impact organizations where he collaborated with government and private sector partners to drive sustainable energy initiatives across various sectors. His contributions have earned him recognition, including being named to NAAEE's prestigious EE30Under30 list, receiving a Gandhi Fellowship and a Commonwealth100 Leader title from Common Purpose.

Outside of work, Ankit enjoys listening to 90s music, playing badminton and capturing the essence of India through photography and short documentaries.
