Program Manager - Energy Access

Bio

Amit Kumar is a Program Manager for the Energy Access at WRI India. Based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, he supports engagement with stakeholders in the state to improve access to reliable, sustainable, affordable energy for all.

He holds a bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering from CMR Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He has worked with LEADS, Jharkhand as Clean Energy Expert in transforming the clean energy demands of the rural population, livelihood generation and holistic development and as research and engagement facilitator for child rights in mining affected districts. He has extensive experience in project planning, development, management. He has also worked at Infosys, as android application developer.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading, swimming, maintain his aquarium and pedaling to serene locations nearby.
