Akshatha Hegde is a Program Manager with the Energy Program at WRI India. She plays a key role in managing events and logistics, coordinating travel and overseeing vendor contracts for communication-related services. She supports the seamless execution of regional and national  events and provides essential administrative and operational support to the program team.

Akshatha has also handled donor management, internal reporting, procurement, and budgeting, contributing significantly to strengthening the program's financial and operational systems.

Before joining WRI India, Akshatha worked with the Passport Seva project—an initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India—for over nine years. During this time, she specialized in operations management, administration, citizen service delivery and documentation. She also brings extensive experience from the startup ecosystem, where she was responsible for designing and streamlining finance and administrative processes.

Akshatha holds a Master of Commerce degree from the University of Delhi. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, exploring new cultures and practising yoga.
