Aarushi Aggarwal is a Senior Program Associate with the Climate, Economics and Finance program at WRI India. Her work focuses on identifying India’s climate adaptation priorities, assessing finance needs, and developing pathways to mainstream adaptation across national and sub national policies.

Before joining WRI India in this role, Aarushi worked as an economic research consultant with WRI’s global office in Washington, D.C., where she focused on the economics and finance of climate change adaptation, including assessing the full benefits of investing in adaptation. Earlier, she was a researcher at Invest India, the country’s national investment promotion and facilitation agency, where she supported foreign investments in emerging sectors, including solar power.

Aarushi holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, where she was a Climate Policy Scholar, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Relations from Ashoka University.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading fiction, travel photography, and running.
