Prior to joining WRI, Dr. Guncha was working as scientist-hydrogen at National Thermal Power Corporation Energy Technology Research Alliance (NTPC-NETRA) which is a research and development arm of NTPC. She worked in different projects related to hydrogen production via electrolysis and gasification, hydrogen storage and compression systems using metal hydrides. Torrefaction and quantitative and numerical analysis of biomass-coal co-firing in thermal power plants were also her area of interest. Before joining NETRA, she also worked on the mass and energy balance of the iodine-sulfur cycle for production of hydrogen in ONGC sponsored project at IIT-D. Dr. Guncha completed her doctorate from Chemical Engineering Department, IIT, Delhi in 2017.
