This conference proceeding highlights the discussions from the workshop on Mobilising Climate Finance for a resilient M.P. Key insights indicate that while the state requires over ₹97,000 crore to implement climate actions by 2028, public finance alone will be insufficient. Participants explored opportunities across agriculture, land use, urban infrastructure, renewable energy, and industrial decarbonisation, focusing on innovative instruments such as green bonds, private finance, blended finance, carbon markets, and disaster risk financing.

Key recommendations included establishing a state-level climate finance platform, strengthening project preparation and Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) systems, aggregating projects to attract private capital, leveraging institutions such as NABARD and SIDBI, and building institutional capacity. The workshop concluded that a programmatic, data-driven approach is essential to transform climate ambitions into investable, scalable projects and accelerate Madhya Pradesh’s resilient growth transition.
