Decoding India’s Skilling Ecosystem

WRI India’s analysis of the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) 2025 shows that almost 2 crore Indians have received vocational training, but half of them are concentrated in just five states.  
 
As India seeks to build a future-ready workforce, understanding where skilled workers are concentrated is essential for designing more effective skilling policies.
