UNFCCC COP21

The U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will host its 21st annual Conference of the Parties (COP21) from 30 November to 11 December in Paris, France. Negotiators from nearly 200 countries will convene to likely agree on the first-ever universal climate agreement. This anticipated new climate agreement builds on the national commitments (INDCs – Intended Nationally Determined Contributions) of more than 150 countries, thereby setting the stage for a new form of international cooperation to accelerate the transition to clean, resilient economy globally (thereby achieving more than individual countries can on their own).
