World Resources Institute India (WRI India) invites you to an event on ‘Pioneering a Clean and Just ICE-EV Transition for MSMEs in Coimbatore’ at CODISSIA’s ELEKTROTEC event on the 12th of August 2022 at CODISSIA Fair Grounds.

In line with India’s climate ambition, the automotive sector is now shifting from Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles towards Electric Vehicles (EV) and cleaner manufacturing. This could mean risks and opportunities for businesses in conventional sectors. This event aims to bring together Coimbatore’s auto MSMEs, associations and other important local stakeholders to discuss the opportunities, challenges and interventions needed make Coimbatore a pioneer in this ICE to EV transition, thereby also contributing to Tamil Nadu’s ambition in becoming a leader of low carbon transition and helping India achieve its climate goals. The event will also introduce the audience to WRI’s upcoming initiative on supporting this transition through skilling, capacity building as well as other technical and network support.
